In the article entitled,"I Know the Truth, So Don't Bother Me with Fact," Jeffrey Kluger Says, rumors and lies plays a Hugh role in people lives,and even when the truth is known, they refuse to accept the facts. The shouting match at Ground Zero over a so call mosque, prove how bias one can be against others culture.Ohio State University have conducted a research with member of the public to determine how effective false belief can have on people and how best to help them overcome such ignorance.

I agree with the author that rumors play a major roles in some people life because bearer of false tiding usually destroy a good relationship, and causes people to be at war with each other.

My first reason to agree with the author is  Freedom of expression is one's given right, but it is unacceptable when He or She goes around spreading rumors and lies on others.One should think carefully about their obscene action because there are vengeful individual out there who will stop at nothing to get even with them for telling tales on them,and some time it even lead to death. For example Sharon and Janice are best friends in high School and for some reasons Janice began to talk behind Sharon back with her boyfriend, one day the boyfriend confronted Sharon about the story Janice told him and before you know it, Sharon shot Janice and the boyfriend then turn the gun on herself. Lucky she survived, it is so sad to know that because of rumors and lies other choose to tell on others Three lives  have being destroyed. As individuals we should learn to let go of bias against others, as mention in the article that "it is easy to manipulate people's belief system with insinuating picture." we should all try to live with each other no matter what the circumstances.

My second reasons to agree with the author is that we should think of others just as how we want others to view our belief's. Beside individual who passes judgement on other may very well find themselves in that position one day. However, it is best in everyone  interest's to do good to other and avoid creating a scene on other people or religions that is venerable to the public especially when the truth is known and one's refuses to listen. As mention in the passage that "when subject are presented with data that contradicts one's beliefs, they often paradoxically". Some people doesn't want to know the truth, it's all about rumors and lies on others. The moment  an individual hears  gossips, without thinking of the consequences they are quick to go and tell others without knowing the facts, and when the truth is known thy refuses to admit there were wrong.For example, years ago in Jamaica two brothers Ben and Dylan have similar businesses in the same area selling patties to school children , it turns out that Ben was selling more patties than Dylan, so he become jealous of his brother and decide to lie on him  to put him out of business. One day in the middle of the sale rush Dylan   frame his brother Ben by getting a impostor to say he always sell him dog meat so the impostor empty the bag with the dog heads on the counter, people begin to leave the shop vomiting and holding their stomach,, that was the last day Ben sold another patties to people. Although it was proven that it was a set up, people still believes to this day that Ben used Dog meat to make His patties. However  Dylan never succeeded as  he think because His  patties wer'nt as tasteful as His brother so He eventually have to close business too.Once again it shows how gossip and lies can ruin one's life and separated people.

After all Jeffrey Kluger was right about people being easily deceived by rumor's and lies. It is best to find out the truth before it too late for you to correct the wrong, therefore people should change their bias attitude toward others, and perhaps doing so peace will reign  with each other  instead of rumors and lies.
